External Hard Drives

Almost all personal computers (desktop & laptop) come with an internal hard drive which stores the computer’s operating systems, programmes and other files. In most cases the internal hard drive is sufficient to store all the programmes and files, however if the internal drive becomes full or you want to back up the data on the internal hard drive, then an external hard drive may be useful. The external hard drive is a great backup solution as they can store an exact copy of another hard drive, and this allows you to store this information in a safe place. Using the drive to perform another backup or restore data to your computer is easy to do, simply by connecting the external drive to your computer and dragging the necessary files from one drive to the other. A memory stick (external flash drive) is a great portable data storage solution that you can drag and drop small files to which can then easily be moved from PC to PC.
